Assay laboratories

Assay results that stay linked to the metal they describe

Run sampling, fire assay, specifications and out-of-spec investigations, and issue certificates of analysis that stay attached to the lot.

The workflow

From sample to certificate

  1. 01

    Request and register

Analysis requests and sampling plans create samples against a lab batch, with barcodes and chain of custody.

  2. 02

    Test

Fire assay runs and instrument methods follow defined test methods and recipes.

  3. 03

    Check against specification

Results are evaluated against specification limits; out-of-spec results open an investigation.

  4. 04

    Review and approve

Results are reviewed and approved before a sample can complete.

  5. 05

    Certify

A certificate of analysis is generated from approved results and approved with an electronic signature.

  6. 06

    Keep the lab qualified

Instruments, calibrations and reagent lots are tracked with their due dates.
